Storage and archiving (EdTech)

From The Learning Engineer's Knowledgebase

Storage and archiving technologies allow people to save digital information and organize it in a way that they can find and use later.

Basic storage technologies include storage hardware (such as internal, external, portable, and thumb drives) and cloud-based storage software. Cloud-based storage is designed to automatically backup and update the stored files, adding to the security and reliability of anything that is stored.

Additionally, any document or media that is stored on the web for people to use in an educational product must use storage technologies to save and access the information. Often, this requires internet connectivity in whatever software or learning environment that is being used.
